Social and Community Participation

Social, Economic, and Community Participation is a funded support category that may be included in your NDIS plan under Core Supports.

This funding covers the support NDIS participants need to achieve goals related to participating in community, social, or recreational activities, as well as in study or work. These supports aim to build skills, reduce the risk of social isolation, and improve overall health and wellbeing.

Social Participation: This refers to your existing relationships with family and friends and the importance of strengthening and maintaining these connections.
Economic Participation: This involves engaging in activities that help you work towards obtaining and maintaining a job. Supports in this area may include volunteering, study, learning new skills, or gaining work experience.
Community Participation: This means participating in your local community through tasks such as weekly shopping, attending appointments, engaging in activities of interest, pursuing hobbies, playing sports, and accessing various services and supports.
Daily Living

In-Home Support

In-home support provides assistance with daily living tasks, allowing you to maintain your independence at home. This includes:

Personal Care: Assistance with dressing, showering, hair grooming, bowel care, and shaving.
Domestic Assistance: Light cleaning of essential areas in your home.
Personal Hygiene: Support to help develop good personal hygiene habits.
Social Skills: Assistance in developing social skills, such as effective communication, cooperation, and problem-solving.
Meal Preparation or Daily Living Tasks: Help with personal care, meal preparation, and laundry.

Health & Wellbeing

This includes developing nutrition knowledge, assistance with shopping, planning, and preparing healthy meals, as well as fostering healthy habits around exercise and staying active.

Prompting with Medication: Assistance in managing medication schedules.
Developing a Routine: Help in establishing and maintaining a daily routine, including time management, planning, and organization.
Transport (for attending appointments) & Travel Training: Increasing independence by teaching road safety, understanding how to use public transport, and planning routes.
Shopping (for groceries): Assistance in developing skills for independent living, such as cooking, cleaning, and shopping.
Communication Book: A record of your support that can be accessed by family members and other allied health providers for regular updates about your services.
Specialised NDIS Transportation

Travel & Transport NDIS Support Services

Jupzo disability servicers offers a range of Travel and Transport Support Services. These include assistance provided for participants who may have challenges accessing public transportation or travelling independently. This may include support with planning and arranging transportation routes, accompaniment during travel, and assistance with boarding and exiting transportation.

The goal of these services is to help individuals with disabilities to have greater access to the community and to be able to participate in activities, education, and employment.

Our team of support workers are dedicated to providing daily living and life skill development services to our participants, such as : 

Develop a Routine -Help participants establish and maintain a routine, which can include assistance with time management, planning, and organisation.
Life Skills -Assisting participants develop skills to live independently such as cooking, cleaning, and shopping.
Social Skills -Assist participants develop social skills, such as communication, cooperation, and problem-solving.
Assistance With Technology -Helping participants use technology, such as smartphones, tablets, and computers, to increase their independence.
Travel Training -Increase independence by understanding road safety, using public transport and planning how to select the correct route.
